The big game is only half a week away. The money line for the Super Bowl seems to have found a steady home with the Seahawks small underdogs at +110, after moving from +115 earlier in the week. I personally bet early and got a good chunk of my betting funds in on Seattle at +115, but I think I’m going to put the rest of my money allotted to bet on this big game on them at +110 too.

My Super Bowl Pick
The old saying goes that defense wins championships and we will get to see that this coming Sunday. The last time the top defense faced the top offense was back in 1991 and the defensive-minded New York Giants were able to beat the high-flying Bills in the big game by a score of 20-19. Defenses win tight games and that is what this one is shaping up to be.
Offenses can struggle in cold weather games and right now it is expected to be around 39 degrees Fahrenheit in New Jersey during the game. Peyton is 0-9 in under 40 degree weather playoff games in his career, as I’m sure you’ve heard by now. That said he has played better in the cold this year after having to get used to it playing outdoors in Denver, but in the biggest game and against the best defense in the league I don’t expect him to have his best game.
I also really like Russell Wilson as a game breaker. He seems to have nerves of steel and if the game is on the line I feel comfortable with him moving the chains into scoring position. He is obviously not as experienced as Peyton, but he has had almost only success in his young career and I expect more of that come Sunday evening.
Defense wins championships and that is what we will see on Sunday. My official prediction is a 24-21 win for the Seahawks. Peyton will have the ball with 2 minutes remaining and the score tied 21-21. Then the Seahawks defense will come up with a huge pick and Wilson will get his team into field goal range to kick for the win!
