NFL Betting Options

Points Spread
The point spread is the most common bet on NFL games. You will hear the spread talked about by analysts for every NFL game. The spread is the amount of points a team is favored to win by in the game.
In the above example the Baltimore Ravens are 6.5 point favorites (-6.5), while the Jets are 6.5 point underdogs (+6.5).
- Ravens spread bets win if the Ravens win by 7 or more points.
- Jets spread bets win if the Jets win the game outright or lose by 6 or fewer points.
Money Line
The money line is a straight forward bet on which team will win the game. The odds associated with each team indicate the risk vs reward of the bet based on each teams perceived chance of winning the game. In the above example the Ravens are -240 favorites, which means you would have to risk $240 to win $100 (payout $340) betting on Baltimore. The Jets are +200 underdogs, which means a $100 bet on the Jets would win $200 (payout $300) if the Jets pull off the upset.
Total (Over/Under)
The final column in the above screenshot shows the odds for the total. This is a bet on the number of points to be scored in the game by both teams.
In the above example the total is set at 45 points.
- Over bets win if 46 or more points are scored.
- Under bets win if 44 or more points are scored.
- Total bets push (are returned) if exactly 45 points are scored.
