  1. im looking for a specific suicide pool my husband was in about 10 years ago. they buy in was $50, and depending on how many people joined, depended on the amount of the pool won if you made it to the end. like, if there were 500 people in the pool, at $50 each buy in, the winnings would be 25 thousand dollars if you made it to the end. can you tell me where i can find this pool please?

    1. I’m sorry, but I do not know which exact pool that is. The Nitrogen paid pools outlined above follow the same structure though with winner take all and the prize pool depending on the number of buy-ins.

  2. Out of curiosity do you know what the largest prize pool for a Free-to-play has ever been? Pick ‘Em or Survivor or really anything. Is there a list somewhere you know of? I’d love to check that out

    1. strangest thing i have heard in a while, fasten your seat belts cause i cringe at joining one of these as the only way this is done is pick a winning team or your out its called survivor for a reason. strikes??

      1. It wouldn’t be “Survivor”, then. But it might still be playable.

I’ve never played with “strikes”, but since one social purpose of survivor pools is to keep people involved for most of the season, a rule that said that you are not eliminated until your third loss would achieve that pretty well. To make it more challenging, though, perhaps as well as allowing each team to only be used as a winner once, you could allow each team to be used as a loser only once. The difficulty of each pick would tend to ramp up more as the season went on, even for those who carefully map out their choices in advance. With a three-strikes rule, most of the field would make it to week 10 or so, but after that the attrition would be similar to existing survivor pools.
