Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo Betting Lines and How To Bet Guide

By Boxing

It’s almost fight night! Canelo Alvarez will defend his undisputed super middleweight titles vs Jermell Charlo this Saturday, September 30th in Las Vegas. Canelo recently signed a $100 million deal with PBC for three fights. The first fight will be vs Jermell Charlo, the smaller of the twin Charlo brothers.

This will be Canelo’s third consecutive defense of his undisputed super middleweight titles. He previously defended his belts vs Golovkin (September of 2022) and John Ryder (May of 2023), winning both fights by decision. Boxing purists are upset that Canelo is defending his belt against a fighter two weight classes below him rather than vs David Benavidez who is the interim WBC title holder at Canelo’s weight, and considered the most legitimate threat to Canelo’s reign as undisputed super middleweight champion.

Jermell Charlo is the undisputed light middleweight title holder (although he will stripped of his WBO belt when he enteres the ring vs Canelo). As mentioned above, he will be moving up two weight classes (14 pounds) to challenge for Canelo’s super middleweight belts. Charlo is 35-1-1 in his career, and similar to Canelo, boxing fans were hoping to see him defend his belts vs undefeated interim light-middleweight title holder, Tim Tszyu. That said, Charlo has the skill and discipline to give Canelo a tough fight at super middleweight if he can add the weight successfully.

On this page I’ve outlined the Canelo vs Charlo odds and provided an easy three step guide you can follow to bet on the fight online.
