Kingsley Ibeh vs Dante Stone Preview June 20th, 2026

The WBC Fecarbox and the vacant US Arizona State Heavyweight Titles are on the line this saturday, June 20th when Kingsley Ibeh of Nigeria takes on Dante Stone of Omaha, Nebraska in a 10-round battle. The fight takes place in Phoenix, Arizona. Ibeh’s last foray into the ring resulted in a 10-round hair-raising split decision defeat to Jarrell Miller in January with the most memorable highlight of the bout being Miller’s wig coming off. Stone, who fights out of chandler, Arizona, last saw action in October when he dropped a six-round split decision to Kevin Christopher Ramirez in the WBC Grand Prix Heavyweight Finals after hitting the canvas in the first round.

Here are the betting odds from online sportsbook BetOnline.ag (full review here).
- Dante Stone +175
- Kingsley Ibeh -250
My Pick
The 32-year-old Ibeh, who fights out of Phoenix, Arizona, boasts a record of 16-3-1 with 14 Ko’s and has boxed just 63 rounds since making his pro debut in 2019. He’s a former football player as he was a defensive lineman at Washburn University and played in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He’s also the cousin of notorious heavyweight Ike Ibeabuchi, who recently returned to the ring himself. Ibeh stands 6-feet-4-inches tall with an 80-inch reach and had his 11-fight winning streak snapped with his recent loss to Miller. When it comes to power, Ibeh has plenty of it as 87.5 per cent of his wins have come by stoppage including six in a row and 10 of his past 11.
He hasn’t beaten any contenders however and when he did step up in class earlier in his career he couldn’t get over the hump. Ibeh lost in his second pro fight to Waldo Cortes Acosta via a four-round split decision in 2019 but stopped Acosta in the fourth round a year later in their rematch. Ibeh faced Guido Vianello in 2020 as well and battled to a six-round draw. His second defeat came at the hands of Jared Anderson in February, 2021 when he was halted in the sixth and final round and of course lost to Jarrell Miller the last time out. Ibeh has recorded eight first-round knockouts with two in the second round, three in the third and one in the fourth stanza and that’s why he’s boxed just 63 rounds as a pro.
The 31-year-old Stone makes the ring walk with a record of 21-2 with 13 Ko’s and has 90 rounds of experience since making his pro debut in 2018. As an amateur he made it to the 2016 National Golden Gloves Quarterfinals. He has also been competing in the Team Boxing League (TBL) in 2026. stone measures 6-feet-3-inches tall with an unlisted reach so gives up an inch in height to Ibeh. He doesn’t match Ibeh when it comes to power either but he is above average as 62 per cent of his victories have come by stoppage. He’s gone the distance in his last three fights and in four of his past seven.
Stone lost his pro debut as he dropped a four-round unanimous decision to Waldo Cortes Acosta and then won 21 straight before losing to Ramirez in his last outing. Stone also avenged his defeat to Acosta with a four-round split decision six months later. He also has wins over Joe Caudle, Alexander Flores, Matthew McKinney and Terrell Jamal Woods. Thirteen of Stone’s pro opponents have entered the fight with a winning record and he’ll be taking a big leap in class against Ibeh this weekend.
Prediction…
Ibeh has power and decent boxing skills but he’s not at the elite level. However ha may not have to be against Stone if his power comes through on fight night. Stone is stepping up in class here for a stiff test but I don’t think it’s one he’s going to pass unless his chin holds up and he can outbox Ibeh.
I’ll go with Ibeh’s power here.
