The UFC has become one of the most bet on sports organizations in the United States. The differing opinions, limited information and the fact that anything can happen is the perfect recipe for betting action.
The UFC and the sports betting industry in the USA have grown together over the past several years and it is now the norm to have money on all of the big UFC fights. With the move to Paramount+ in 2026 and the elimination of the pay-per-view model, UFC events are more accessible than ever, which has only fueled the growth of UFC betting. For this reason I wanted to add this simple How To Guide for betting on the UFC for Americans. Below I will look at the three steps you need to take to get your first UFC bet placed online.

The over/under for total rounds (length of the fight) is the other common UFC bet. BetOnline.ag has both the to win (money line) odds shown for each fight on the MMA page. You can also click on the fighter names to see the full list of betting markets for each fight. The prop bets can include method of victory, round betting, when the fight will end, etc. Here’s a screenshot of the method of victory prop for Prochazka vs Ulberg:

To find the UFC odds at BetOnline you just need to click ‘Sports’ from the top menu bar, open the ‘Martial Arts’ drop down menu in the left sidebar and select ‘MMA’ followed by whichever event you want to bet on.
Select the odds of the bet you want to make, enter your risk amount on the Bet Slip and click ‘Place Bet’ to lock in your wager.

Common UFC Bet Types
If you’re new to UFC betting, here is a quick rundown of the most common bet types you will come across:
Money Line – This is the most straightforward UFC bet. You simply pick which fighter you think will win. Each fighter is assigned odds that reflect their likelihood of winning. A favorite will have minus odds (eg. -150), meaning you risk more to win less (eg. risk $150 to win $100), while an underdog will have plus odds (eg. risk $100 to win $130), meaning a smaller risk for a larger potential payout.
Over/Under Rounds – This bet is based on how long the fight will last. The sportsbook sets a total number of rounds and you bet on whether the fight will go over or under that number. For example, if the total is set at 2.5 rounds, betting the over means you expect the fight to last past the midway mark in the third round.
Method of Victory – With this bet you’re predicting how a fighter will win. Options typically include KO/TKO, submission, or decision. These props offer higher payouts because they are harder to predict.
Round Betting – This is a more specific bet where you pick the exact round in which the fight will end and the fight winner. Because it’s so precise, round betting usually comes with the highest odds and biggest potential payouts.
Parlay – A parlay combines multiple UFC bets into one wager. All of your selections must win for the parlay to pay out, but the combined odds result in a much larger potential return. Parlays are popular on UFC cards because there are multiple fights to choose from on a single night.
