Arizona @ Oregon (Week 4 Betting Line and Prediction)
A PAC-12 showdown out west this week will feature the upstart Arizona Wildcats (3-0) versus one of the conference lynch pins in the Oregon Ducks (3-0). Wildcat coach Rich Rodriguez is off to a fast start down in Tucson as they have already knocked down Oklahoma State two weeks ago very convincingly with a 59-38 victory as a (10) point home dog. The Wildcats served up another beat down last week with a 56-0 rout of hapless South Carolina State. Meanwhile in Eugene, the Ducks continued their early season assault with a 63-14 thumping of Tennessee Tech. Dynamic Duck QB Marcus Mariota passed for (308) yards and four scored while racking up (652) total yards of offense. The Wildcats registered (689) yards of offense so this Saturday should be an entertaining matchup.
The Ducks won last year’s meeting in Tucson 56-31 as a (14.5) point favorite. Rich Rodriguez may very well end up being a good fit down in the desert as he settles into year one. Chip Kelly has been there and done that many times before and with Stanford’s upset of USC he has to feel as though his Ducks have a shot to get to the “game” versus Alabama at the end of the season. I like both of these teams and this game will be absent of one ingredient and that is defense. I am not convinced either team can stop the other.
Arizona @ Oregon (-24) Betting Prediction
The total is currently sitting at (77). I honestly do not think you can post a high enough number here but I will provide a few stats. The Wildcats are 5-0 over their last five games straight up and are starting to gel under the new regime in Tucson and thus far enter the contest with the #37 ranked defense allowing only (18.3) ppg. The Ducks are flying high with the #5 offense averaging (54) ppg. This game is anything but a contrast in styles as they both like to attack using the entire field. In the past it has been a dangerous proposition taking a road dog in Eugene but I am comfortable taking the Wildcats plus a ton of points here as the Oklahoma State win was a confidence builder. Another safe play is the over (77) and if you are so inclined this game lines up perfectly for a 6-pt teaser with the Wildcats and the over! Prediction: Oregon 56 Arizona 42!
