Williams last saw action in March when he dropped a wide unanimous decision to Carlos Adames in a shot at the WBC Middleweight Title. Mielnicki’s last outing resulted in a wide 10-round unanimous nod over Omar Ulises Huerta in April. That fight was for the vacant WBC Continental Americas Belt as well as the IBF USBA and WBO Global Middleweight Titles.

Mielnicki is just 24 years old and makes the ring walk with a mark of 23-1 with 13 Ko’s. He’s boxed 138 rounds since making his pro debut in 2019 following a fine amateur career which saw him win four Junior National Golden Gloves Titles. He reportedly went 147-22 as an amateur before turning pro as a 17-year-old. His lone pro defeat came at the hands of James Martin via an eight-round unanimous decision in 2021. As far as power is concerned, Mielnicki is just above average as 56.5 per cent of his wins have come by stoppage. However he’s halted just one of his last seven opponents.
He measures six-feet-tall with a 70-inch reach which means he gives up eight inches in reach to Williams. After kicking of his pro career as a welterweight and super welterweight, Mielnicki eventually climbed up to the 160lb middleweight division. Mielnicki captured the vacant WBC Youth Super Welterweight Belt in 2023 when he stopped Alexis Salazar Flores in just 147 seconds. He won the vacant WBC USA Super Welterweight Title in 2023 via a 10-round unanimous decision in 2023 after dropping him in rounds three and four.
In 2025 Mielnicki fought for the vacant WBO International, WBC USA and IBF USBA Middleweight Crowns with Connor Coyle. The bout was called a majority draw but then changed to a no-contest when Coyle tested positive for a banned substance. Mielnicki won the vacant IBO Americas, WBC USA and IBF USBA Middleweight Crowns in his next fight with a 10-round unanimous decision over Kamil Gardzielik. He added the vacant WBO Global Belt in his next outing with a ninth-round TKO over Samuel Nmomah.
As for Williams, he’s a southpaw who fights out of Royal Palm Beach, Florida. He’s 30 years old and owns a record of 20-2 with 13 Ko’s. He also enjoyed a fine amateur career as he reached the quarterfinals of the 2017 and 2018 USA National Championships and the semifinals in 2016. He has 138 rounds of experience under his belt since turning pro in 2019 and stands six-feet-tall with a 78-inch reach. He carries pretty good power in his arsenal as 65.4 per cent of his wins have come by stoppage.
However he’s halted just one of his last six opponents and and his record is 2-4 over that stretch. His first defeat came at the hands of Hamzah Sheeraz when he was halted in the 11th round in June, 2024 in a shot at the WBC Silver Middleweight Title. Of course, his second loss was to Carlos Adames earlier this year. Williams downed Steve Rolls via a 10-round unanimous decision in 2023 to take the IBF North American Middleweight Belt and also has wins over Wendy Toussaint, Denis Douglin, Chordale Booker, Kieron Conway, River Wilson-Bent and Patrice Volny. The win over Conway was for the WBA International Belt.
Prediction…
Mielnicki and Williams are solid boxers with good skills and enough power with Williams having a lot more experience against tougher opposition. He also has a pretty good reach advantage. This is a step up in class for Mielnicki and I’m expecting this to be a close fight with Williams doing just enough to win it if he lets his hands go and is the aggressor.
Williams will have his hands full but should prevail.
