How To Bet On The UFC From Arizona or Utah

By MMA

UFC betting is very popular in the United States.  There are a lot of differing opinions on every fight and this is the perfect recipe for sports betting, where you can put your money behind your opinions.  Sports betting as an industry and MMA as a sport have both grown tremendously over the past several years, and that has been the perfect storm for UFC betting popularity.

I added this page to help residents of Arizona and Utah learn how and where to bet on UFC fights online.  Below I will recommend our top rated betting site for Americans, touch on the sports betting climate in Arizona and Utah, look at some popular UFC betting options, and finish up with a simple 3 step guide you can follow to place your UFC bets online.

Sports Betting in Arizona and Utah

It’s not currently legal to operate a sports in Arizona or Utah.

That said, if you live in either Arizona or Utah you can still place bets on UFC fights by betting through an online betting site that accepts USA players and is licensed/regulated outside of the United States.  BetOnline.ag is one of these offshore betting sites and they have served the USA market for over 15 years.

Arizona did introduce a bill in 2019 that would allow federally recognized tribes that currently have a gaming compact to offer sports betting.  There has been no progress made on that legislature and it seems regulated online sports betting is still a ways away in Arizona.  Check out our Arizona sports betting page for more information.

Utah is entirely anti-gambling.  Regulated sports betting in the state would require changes to the state’s constitution, which will likely not be happening anytime soon.

UFC Betting Options

There are a wide variety of bets on you can make on every UFC fight, but the most popular bet is simply wagering on which fighter will win.

Here’s an example of the odds for the Tony Ferguson vs Justin Gaethje fight from UFC 249:

In this example, Ferguson is a favorite with odds of -170.  This means you would need to risk $170 on Tony Ferguson to win $100 (payout of $270).  Gaethje is a +145 underdog, which means a $100 bet on Justin Gaethje would win $145 (payout of $245).

The other odds prominently shown in the screenshot above are the “total rounds” odds, which is an over/under bet on the length of the fight.  The over/under for the Ferguson vs Gaethje fight is set at 2.5 rounds.  If the fight goes past the halfway point of the 3rd round the over bets would payout, if the fight ends before then the under bets would win.

There are a wide variety of other prop bets you can make on each UFC fight including method of victory, round betting and more.
