  • Shakalakboomboom +2000

Those are all of the horses with odds of 20/1 or better to win this years Grand National race at Aintree.  As you can see there are no horses with better odds than 8/1 because the Grand National is such a long and unpredictable race that anyone can win.  In fact last year Ballabriggs, an 18/1 pony won the race, while in 2010 Don’t Push It won with 10/1 odds.  In 2009 Mon Mome won with crazy 100/1 odds.  So as you can see if you can pick the winner at the Grand National you are likely in for a very large payday.  Let’s take a look at the top two horses to see why they are the favorites in this race.

Synchronised +800

Synchronised won the delayed 2010 Welsh National as he performed well in the soft conditions.  Synchronised has the stamina to make it to the finish line at the Grand National as he proved when he won the four mile and two furlongs Midlands Grand National last year.  He also was effective on solid ground at the Lexus Chase in December at Leopardstown and he also won the Cheltenham Gold Cup earlier this year.  Synchronised is the rightful favorite for this years Grand National, but he can afford no mistakes as the field of horses will be the best of the year.

Junior +900

Junior won last year’s Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival by a massive margin of 24 lengths.  Junior also finished second this season at the Grimthorpe at Doncaster losing by just a short head to Ikordu Road.  Junior has the potential to win at Aintree this year, but he needs his jumping to stay consistent.  The distance should not be a problem for this horse.

These are just two of the horses that could win this year at Aintree.  As we all know anything can happen at the Grand National and I am very excited to see how the race unfolds in 2 weeks.  Visit Bet365.com now to bet on the race at the early odds.  Check out our Bet365 referrer code page to learn more about not entering a code when signing up for a new account at Bet365.com.
