WGC-Bridgestone Invitational Betting Picks

By Golf

It is always around this time of the year that the prestigious tournaments are a weekly occurrence. This week it is the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and next week the final major of the year, the PGA Championship at the Quail Hollow Club. This all on the back of the Open taking place 2 weeks ago. The action is coming thick and fast and the FedEx Cup leaderboard is taking shape. The WGC events are a class act and big money tournaments. With no cut is provides every player a chance to walk away with a bit of money. It should be an 80 man field and all the big boys are in town. The course is Firestone Country Club and measures 7, 400 yards and plays as a par 70. Dustin Johnson is back to defend the title he won here last year. He did admit this week in the media that the fall down the stairs on the eve of the Masters is still causing him some discomfort. The big news this week is that Rory Mcilroy has fired his caddie JP after a 9 year stretch together. The problems seem to be mounting for Mcilroy even after making wholesale changes to his backroom staff and on field support. The Northern Irishman is clearly looking for away to become the best player in the world again and thinks a change is what is required. Only time will tell. It’s on to Firestone Country Club and the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational for a week that promises to deliver more jaw dropping story lines.

Rory Mcilroy (+900 BetOnline.ag)

A strong reaction from Mcilroy is what the golfing world will get this week. Whether his sweeping changes across the board will have any long term success, in the short term there is a good chance he will bounce back with a big showing. Look out for him this week.

Jordan Spieth (+800 BetOnline.ag)

Spieth has proved that he has what it takes to win back to back tournaments. When he gets hot there is very little stopping him. There is every chance the 3 time major winner will continue his domination over world golf this week.

Branden Grace (+4000 BetOnline.ag)

The South African was in sizzling form at the Open 2 weeks ago when he set a new record with the lowest individual round in a major with a 62, surpassing Johnny Miller’s 63. Grace is set and all ready to take down a big tournament.
