RBC Heritage Betting Picks

By Golf

It has been a roller coaster of a week on the professional golf circuit as the Masters came to an end last Sunday. The first major of the year was not without it’s drama as Jordan Speith dropped 5 shots on the back 9 to surrender what seemed like an unassailable lead to Danny Willet. Was it a case of Speith losing it or Willet winning it? Anyone that has seen Danny Willet play over the past two years will know that was no fluke. The talented Yorkshireman shot the joint best round of the day with a 67 and was a worthy champion. There is plenty more to come from this highly skilled young player. The sun has set on Augusta National and has risen over the Harbour Town Golf Links where this weeks RBC Heritage is to be played. Measuring 7, 101 yards and playing as a par 71, this course will offer the players a great chance to put what was a tough scoring week at Augusta National behind them as they look to score well on the more forgiving Harbour Town Golf Links. Jim Furyk will not be back to defend his title that he won last year, due to a wrist injury. Furyk ended a 4 and a half year spell without a win with a dramatic playoff victory against Kevin Kisner.  Nine of the top 30 in the world will make their way to compete at the RBC Heritage, so it promises to be a good week. Who will step up after a dramatic and tense week at the Masters?

Jason Day (+550 BetOnline.ag)

Despite a poor showing on the Sunday at the Masters, one would be hard pressed to look passed Jason Day this week. Having won the most on the PGA Tour over the past 8 months, Day is still the man to beat and has the official tag of being the number one golfer in the world. Day may well excel this week as the pressure and expectation that comes with a major is no longer there, and will allow him to go on and play his best golf again.

Paul Casey (+1400 BetOnline.ag)

Paul Casey had a great week at Augusta National as he finished for a tie of fourth position. The Englishman also seems to play well at Harbour Town Golf Links as he hasn’t finished outside of the top 25 the last three times he has competed there. Casey is in good form and could well go on to win this week in Harbour Town.

Matthew Fitzpatrick (+2000 BetOnline.ag)

Matthew Fitzpatrick shot the joint low round of the day last Sunday at the Masters and will look to build on the impressive start to his professional career by winning the RBC Heritage. The young Yorkshireman will go on to achieve great things in his career as he is one of the more talented youngsters on the tour. Fitzpatrick will look to better his share of 7th place at the Masters by being first at the Harbour Town Golf Links.
