Dean and Deluca Invitational Betting Picks

By Golf

The final event in Texas this season is being played this week as the Dean and Deluca Invitational begins tomorrow. A strong field that includes nine of the top thirty will assemble at Colonial Country Club this week and compete for 500 FedEx Cup points as well as the winners prize of of $1, 206, 000. Measuring 7, 204 yards and playing as a par 70, Colonial Country Club is considered a ball strikers course as it doesn’t require enormous length off the tee. The weather is bound to play a part this week as it normally does during this event. The forecast is for strong winds and will require a patient if not spectacular approach at times from players that want to do well. Colonial Country Club holds the record for the longest serving host course on tour as in enters its 80th year. This is no small feat and one that speaks volumes about Colonial’s pedigree and ability to stand the test of time. With the US Open only 3 weeks away, this in an ideal opportunity for someone to stand up on a course that has a similar status and prestige as Oakmont. A good finish here could be the catalyst for a spectacular finish during the playing of the 116th US Open in mid June.

Jordan Speith (+600 BetOnline.ag)

Despite a very poor showing on the Sunday afternoon at the Byron Nelson, Speith showed glimpses of the unbeatable putting stroke that has won him so many titles in the past. The putter is the cornerstone for Speith’s game and success. If he can cut some of the mistakes out of his game at the moment then Speith should claim a first win on Texas soil.

Matt Kuchar (+1200 BetOnline.ag)

‘Kuch’ is playing some seriously impressive golf at the moment and has finished in third place twice in the last two weeks. The Texas Native knows his way around Colonial Country Club, as he has been a runner up in this event in the past. If he can combine his red hot form and knowledge of this course then Matt Kuchar may well seal his first win of the season here.

Kevin Na (+2500 BetOnline.ag)

Na held the 54 hole lead here last year and looked good for the win until he put on a disappointing Sunday performance. He has enjoyed a very successful season so far and has 5 top five finishes to his name already. Watch out for Na this week as he looks to put in a big performance and win the Dean and Deluca Invitational.
