BMW Championship Betting Picks

By Golf

The BMW Championship and the 3rd leg of the Playoffs come at an interesting time. With the race to the FedEx Cup not so much as heating up but on actual fire, there is still so many side stories that are developing. Henrik Stenson looks likely to miss the action this week, he is yet to confirm his participation. The Ryder Cup enthusiasts will be keeping a close eye on this as Hazeltine is just over 3 weeks away. Rory Mcilroy found his putting stroke last week and ended up beating Paul Casey to win the Deutsche Bank Championship. That is indeed an ominous sign for the rest of the field and FedEx Cup hopefuls as Mcilroy has put himself in a great position to go on and win it. Last week’s win has elevated him to 4th in the standings. Reed still sits at the top but his position there looks a lot more precarious than it did last week. This weeks action takes place at Crooked Stick Golf Club that measures 7, 516 yards and plays as a par 72. Last years winner Jason Day returns to defend his BMW Championship title that he won at Conway Farms Golf Club last year. A win here for any of the top 5 in the rankings could go a long way in deciding who will win the FedEx Cup. Crooked Stick is a sensational setting for what will certainly be another phenomenal fight for the $10m.

Rory Mcilroy (+550 BetOnline.ag)

Rory Mcilroy is very capable of winning back to back tournaments. He has done it in the past and seems to have the bit between his teeth. This is also a very good hunting ground for him and he has a lot of good omens going for him as he approaches this week. Mcilroy won the BMW Championship the last it was played at Crooked Stick Golf Club back in 2012. Watch out from Mcilroy as he goes all out to win back to back in the playoffs.

Paul Casey (+4000 BetOnline.ag)

Paul Casey came agonizingly close to winning last week at the Deutsche Bank Championship. He ended up finishing second and has put himself in a very goof place in the FedEx Cup rankings. Positioned 10th with just over 2000 points, The Englishman could shoot up the rankings with another good finish and go on to get the 2000 FedEx Cup points on offer for a win at Crooked Stick this week.

Jordan Speith (+1400 BetOnline.ag)

Jordan Speith is nicely positioned in the race to the FedEx Cup. Sitting 6th, Speith has the opportunity this week at Crooked Stick Golf Club to stamp his mark on proceedings. He is coming off a top 10 and 20th position in the last two playoff events respectively. He is poised to strike and will want to make an impression this week at the BMW Championship.
