By Golf

This week we break away from The PGA Tour and joins all the biggest golf names on the planet in heading to Abu Dhabi for the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. This is the beginning of The European Tours ‘Desert Swing’ and has attracted the absolute cream of the crop as far as the best players in the world are concerned. This lucrative and very fashionable event is played at the Abu Dhabi Championship Golf Club which measures 7, 334 yards and plays as a par 72. This golf club has an extraordinary clubhouse that been modeled on a falcon and sits impressively as it guards over the 18th green. It truly is a sight and is just another wonderful feature that this event offers. So far, during the early stages of 2016, golf fans haven’t yet been able to see the best in the world play together. Well that is about to come to an end on Thursday as The European Tour organizers have put Jordan Speith, Rory Mcilory and Rickie Fowler together for the first two rounds. That paring will get the hearts of every golf enthusiast racing as these three players have the ability to go low and thrill the watching fans with their skill and execution. Speith comes in as number one in the world and will be full of confidence. The only thing stopping him may be that this is his first European Tour event and could take a while to find his straps on the layout in the Middle East. This week promises to be a week that gives golfing fans around the globe an indication of how Speith and Mcilory will duel it out, with the gauntlet well and truly thrown down by Speith to the former number one.

Jordan Speith (+400 BetOnline.ag)

Speith has already opened his account this year by winning the Hyundai Tournament of Champions two weeks ago by 8 shots. He ended up shooting an incredible 30 under. His ability to chip and putt has made him the best player in the world. He also prepares better than most players and goes into tournaments knowing the layout and what needs to be done. There is every chance Jordan Speith will make it two wins in 3 weeks at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.

Martin Kaymer (+1600 BetOnline.ag)

Martin Kaymer has won this event twice already, and could have made it a third time last year as he went into the final round with an 8 shot lead, but eventually ended up shooting a 40 on the back nine and lost to Frenchman Gary Stal. The German will look to put things right and make amends for last years melt down by winning this year.

Branden Grace (+1600 BetOnline.ag)

The talented South African seems to put himself into contention every time he plays. He finished in 20th place last year but has already had a positive start to this years season with a tied fourth finish at the South African Open. Grace is becoming a golfer that is starting to compete with the best in the world. Watch out for the current world number 16 this weekend in Abu Dhabi.
