My Pick

The 26-year-old Fisher boasts a perfect mark of 13-0 with 11 Ko’s and has just 41 rounds of experience under his belt since making his pro debut in 2021 following his amateur career. He stands 6-feet-4-inches tall with an unlisted reach and has displayed excellent power as a pro as his knockout ratio stands at 84.6 per cent. He’s gone the distance just twice. The first time was once at that was against Gabriel Enguema when he was taken six rounds in a unanimous decision win in February 2022 and the second time was in the first meeting with Allen.

Fisher has scored five first-round knockouts, three in the second round, one in the third, one in the fourth and one in the seventh round. He hasn’t taken on the greatest opponents in the division though with Allen and the previously-unbeaten Babic being the toughest of the bunch. Fisher captured the vacant British Southern Area Heavyweight Title in August 2023 when he stopped Harry Armstrong in the seventh round after dropping him in the first.

Allen is now 33 years old and climbs into the squared circle with a mark of 23-7-2 with 18 Ko’s. He made his pro debut in 2012 following his amateur career and has boxed 139 rounds since. He’s got decent size for a heavyweight at 6-feet-3-inches and a 75-inch reach, which means he’s an inch shorter than Fisher however. Allen’s biggest win came against former heavyweight belt holder Lucas Browne of Australia when he stopped him in the third round in April, 2019.

His other six losses have been to David Price when he was stopped after 10 rounds in 2019; Tony Yoka by 10th-round stoppage in 2018; a 12-round split decision to Lenroy Thomas in 2017 for the vacant Commonwealth Heavyweight Crown; an eighth-round stoppage to Luis Ortiz in 2016; a 10-round unanimous decision to Dillian Whyte five months earlier in a shot at the vacant WBC International Heavyweight Title and a sixth-round stoppage to Frazer Clarke in 2023 when Allen had to pack it in on the stool after suffering a perforated eardrum.

His two draws were against Plamen Nikolov over four rounds in 2014 and a technical draw with Lenroy Thomas in 2018 for the Commonwealth Title. As we can see, Allen hasn’t had too much success when facing upper-class boxers such as Whyte and Ortiz and he hasn’t beaten anybody on the world level but Fisher hasn’t proven himself as of yet. Allen has a pair of pretty heavy hands as well as 78.3 per cent of his wins have come by way of stoppage and so have 13 of his past 15 victories. But on the other side of the coin, his chin isn’t the greatest as he’s been halted in four of his six defeats.

Prediction…

Fisher always comes out swinging and so far it’s been a successful tactic for him as he’s been knocking guys out left, right and centre. He managed to rock Allen in the first fight but couldn’t put him down, in fact it was he who hit the deck in round five. Both boxers have the power to stop just about anybody and Fisher looked to be out on his feet a dew times in the first fight but somehow managed to survive and fire back This may be a case of who lands the biggest shot first as it should be another brawl. It’s a tossup but I’m leaning towards Fisher to pull out another win in an exciting bout.

I’ll give Fisher the slight edge as he’s seven years younger.
