My Pick
Pacheco is just 24 years old and already owns a perfect record of 24-0 with 18 Ko’s and has boxed 116 rounds since making his pro debut in 2019. He enjoyed a fine amateur career as he made it to the quarterfinals of the 2017 USA Youth National Championships and 2018 World Youth Championships, won the 2018 USA Youth Open and reached the final of the 2018 USA Western Regional Final and the semifinals of the 2017 USA Jr Olympics.
Pacheco possesses an abundance of power in his punches with a current knockout ratio of 75 per cent. He had won nine fights in a row by stoppage until Shawn McCalman took him the 10-round distance in April, 2024. He’s now gone the distance in three of his last four fights. His biggest pro wins to date have come over McCumby, Maciej Sulecki, Manuel Coceres, Manuel Gallegos, Jack Cullen, Oscar Riojas, Juan Antonio Mendez, Rodolfo Gomez Jr, Lucas de Abreu, Raul Ortega and Enrique Collazo.
Just one of his 24 opponents entered the ring with a losing record. Pacheco won the vacant WBC USA Super Middleweight Belt in September, 2022 when he stopped Enrique Collazo in the fifth round and captured the vacant WBO International Belt with his fourth-round TKO over Cullen in March, 2023. At 6-feet-4-inches tall Pacheco’s got great height for a super middleweight and also owns a 79-inch reach.
The 35-year-old Sadjo, who fights out of France, owns a perfect mark of 26-0 with 23 Ko’s so would appear to have more power than Pacheco as his knockout ratio clocks in at a highly-impressive 88.5 per cent. He’s stopped his last three opponents and nine of his past 10 but has basically fought European level opposition throughout his career and 11 of his 26 opponents entered the ring with a losing record. He lost on points to Christian Mbilli as an amateur and also competed in the World Series of Boxing.
At 5-feet-8-inches tall with a 68-inch reach, Sadjo gives up a whole eight inches in height to Pacheco along with 11 inches in reach. He won the French Super Middleweight Title in 2018 when he stopped Shamil Ismailov in the fourth round. He added the vacant European Super Middleweight Crown in 2021 with a sixth-round TKO over Jack Cullen and captured the vacant WBO Inter-Continental Belt in 2023 by halting Zeynel Elbir in the seventh stanza. Sadjo wasn’t finished there though as he added the European Title in 2024 when he stopped Giovanni De Carolis in the eighth round.
Prediction…
Pacheco has the size of a heavyweight and a lot of power in his fists which makes him a great prospect as a super middleweight for as long as he can make the weight. Sadjo is a solid pro who also carries plenty of power. However he is 11 years older than Pacheco, gives up a lot of height and reach and hasn’t faced the same level of opposition. He can’t be taken lightly though due to his unbeaten record and knockout ratio. Pacheco’s physical advantages should enable him to tag Sadjo on his way in and as long as his chin holds out he should do enough to up his record to 25-0. He may have to go the distance once again to earn a victory however.
Pacheco’s size and experience should pull him through.
