2022 NFL Draft Betting Lines and How To Bet Guide

The 2022 NFL Draft is set to take place this week at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas. The first round will take place this Thursday, April 28th, starting at 8pm with the remaining rounds finishing up on April 29th and 30th.  The entire draft will be broadcast on ABC, ESPN and the NFL Network.

The NFL Draft is the biggest event of the spring and summer months for football fans, so I’m expecting plenty of betting action on the event.  For this reason I wanted to add this page to help new bettors learn how and where you can bet on the 2022 NFL Draft online.

NFL Draft Betting Lines

BetOnline has a huge selection of NFL Draft betting options.  At the time I’m writing this page there are around 100 different NFL Draft betting lines available including draft position over/unders, top players selected at different positions, whether specific players are drafted in the first round, and various other draft related props.

To see the full list of NFL Draft props with up to date betting lines head to BetOnline.ag open the ‘Football’ drop down menu and select ‘NFL Draft’ in the sportsbook.

Now let’s take a look at some of the popular bets to give you an idea of the selection.  These odds are from April 20th.

Player Drafted First Overall

Aidan Hutchinson was the favorite to go first overall one week ago, but it seems like some information has leaked and the public believes that Travon Walker, a defensive end from Georgia, is now closer to a lock to go to the Jaguars with the first overall pick. Aidan Hutchinson (+275), a defensive end from the Michigan Wolverines, is now the second favorite. It would be a surprise if one of these two players did not go with the #1 overall pick.

First Quarterback Selected

The 2022 NFL Draft is not QB heavy. Last years draft had three quarterbacks taken with the first three picks, and five QB’s taken in the top 15 picks. This year should be different.

Malik Willis is the favorite to go first of the QBs with odds of -200, but he’s not expected to go first overall, as you can see from his +6600 odds two screenshots above. Willis is ranked around #11 on most big boards, but it’s really up in the air as to which team picks him. On the flip side, Kenny Pickett (+185) is ranked lower, but he’s being picked by the Carolina Panthers at #6 on about half of the mock drafts I’ve looked at. That said, a lot of experts believe that the Panthers will be looking to trade down in the draft. It will be interesting to see how everything shakes out on draft night, but Willis is considered by most to be the most talented QB in the draft.

When Will Kenny Pickett be Drafted

Kenny Pickett is the second ranked quarterback in the draft, and many analysts think the Carolina Panthers have interest in taking him with the 6th overall pick. That said, many experts also have the Panthers trading down because they can likely get Pickett with a later draft pick than 6th overall. Other analysists have him dropping to late in the first round. This is an example where you can check out the various betting lines for a player (first QB chosen, over/under draft position, top 10 pick, etc.) and try to find odds that you feel are the most beneficial, while also covering different scenarios.

BetOnline.ag has these over/unders for a lot of projected first round players.

First Round Pick Totals

BetOnline also has totals available for the number of players selected in the first round. Different categories include positions, college Conference, and college team (Alabama).

Here’s an example using the total wide receivers selected in round 1:

There are several quality wide receivers available in this years draft, with the odds suggesting that 7+ WR will be taken in round 1.

I think those betting lines are a good representation of the types of NFL Draft bets available at BetOnline.  You can see all of the up to date betting lines for yourself at BetOnline.ag by opening the ‘Football’ drop down menu and selecting ‘NFL Draft’.
