**Update: Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury has been cancelled for the second time. Paul will now fight Hasim Rahman Jr. on August 6th. Check out our Paul vs Rahman Jr. how to bet guide for the betting line information.
Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury is official for the second time. The pair will finally meet in the ring on August 6th at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The event will be be broadcast on Showtime PPV.
Paul and Fury were originally supposed to fight last December, but Fury withdrew from the fight due to injury and illness, which resulted in Tyron Woodley stepping in on short notice for a rematch with Jake. Paul followed up his decision win over Woodley with a devastating knockout the second time around, proving to the world that’s truly ready for yet another step up in competition.
Jake Paul has continued to increase the level of his competition throughout his short boxing career with wins over fellow YouTuber, AnesonGib, former NBA player, Nate Robinson, and former MMA champions Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley (twice) in his 5-0 professional boxing career.
Tommy Fury is an 8-0 professional boxer who is only 23 years old and is close to the same size as Jake Paul. A win over Fury would quiet many of Jake Paul’s critics who claim he is only fighting non-boxing opponents who are both older and smaller than him. Although Fury is 8-0 in professional boxing you could argue that Paul is also a step up in competition for him as well because he has mostly fought inexperienced opponents with losing records to this point in his career, which is common in the sport of boxing.
