Kentucky Derby Betting in Arizona and Utah

Regulated sports betting went live in Arizona in September of 2021, and there are now 18 online sportsbooks operating in the state, all of which will likely be taking bets on the Kentucky Derby.

It is not currently legal to operate a sportsbook in Utah and this is unlikely to change in the near future. At this time residents of Utah who want to bet on sports must do so at offshore betting sites that are licensed and regulated outside of the United States, such as Everygame.eu. **Arizona residents also have the option to bet on the Derby through an offshore site.

Arizona residents can also place Kentucky Derby bets at local tracks that offer simulcast betting.  Turf Paradise in Phoenix and Rillito Park Race Track in Tucson are two popular horse racing tracks in Arizona that will have off track betting available for the Kentucky Derby.

Kentucky Derby Odds

Here are the odds and post positions for the 2024 Kentucky Derby from Everygame.eu (odds taken April 29th – the Monday of race week).  You can see the current odds for the race at the Everygame website in the ‘Sportsbook’ section of the site by selecting ‘Horse Racing’ -> ‘Kentucky Derby’ from the ‘More Sports’ menu.

Sierra Leone and Fierceness are the two favorites leading into the Derby. Sierra Leone is coming off a win at the Blue Grass Stakes in early April, while Fierceness won the Florida Derby in late March.
