Valspar Championship Betting Picks

By Golf

The WGC Championship in Mexico last week turned out to be a huge success. Dustin Johnson cementing his place at the top of the world rankings. There really can be no doubt who the best player in the world is. Johnson is a man on a mission and must be the favorite for the Masters that is only a month away. The tournaments leading up to the years first major carry on. The Valspar Championship is next up and is played at Innisbrook Resort(Copperhead). The course measures 7, 340 yards and plays as a par 71. Eight of the top 30 in the world headline a field that will want to enjoy pre Masters success. Henrik Stenson is back in the mix after succumbing to a stomach virus last week in Mexico. The big Swede must be the favourite going in as he hasn’t finished outside the top ten since the lucrative FedEx Cup Playoffs. Charl Schwartzel is back to defend the title he won here last year. The sweet swinging South African will do well to successfully defend as he hasn’t really made a mark on any tour this year. With a strong field and the chance to lay down a marker to the rest of the tour, this week should be a pulsating one.

Henrik Stenson (+1000 BetOnline.ag)

Stenson will be brimming with confidence and he will undoubtedly be at the top end of the leaderboard all weekend. The Open champion has got his game to the stage where he competes week in and week out. His consistency is becoming legendary and the results are there for all to see. Watch out for Stenson this week again.

Daniel Berger (+2500 BetOnline.ag)

Berger is coming off a good top twentieth finish in Mexico last week. The young and bullish Floridian has the temperament to win and will do so again sooner rather than later. Having won once already on the PGA Tour he is definitely due another one.

Justin Thomas (+1000 BetOnline.ag)

Justin Thomas is enjoying the season of his life. He has won three times already this season and finished 5th last week in Mexico. There was a bit of controversy involved around him when he appeared to throw his club after a bad drive. He issued an apology and will look to let his clubs do the talking this week by nothing up his 4th victory this season.
