The Memorial Tournament Betting Picks

By Golf

Muirfield Village Golf Club is the venue this week for the Memorial Tournament. The Jack Nicklaus design is one of the favorite stop off’s on the circuit and has hosted big events in the past such as the Ryder Cup, Presidents Cup and Solheim Cup. Measuring 7, 392 yards and playing as a par 72, Muirfield Village is a fair test of golf. Last years winner is back to try and replicate his heroics, David Lingmerth prevailed in the longest playoff in Muirfields history. Eventually beating Justin Rose after 2 playoff holes. The field this time around is a formidable one. With the top 5 in the world leading the pack and 21 of the top 30 in the world competing. It should be an electric week and one that promises to deliver at every turn. Jordan Speith put on a performance that only a man of his putting ability could do last week to win the Dean and Deluca Invitational. Having to only putt 9 times in his last 9 holes, quite staggering really. Rory Mcilroy plays on the PGA Tour for the first time since his Irish Open victory and will also be right up for the fight. When you put this many champions that are in great form in a field together, it is bound to sizzle. With exactly 15 days left until the US Open, it is important for the top players to get ahead of their competitors. Expect fireworks this weekend at Muirfield Village.

Jordan Speith (+650 BetOnline.ag)

Jordan Speith thrives on momentum and after last weekends win at Colonial Country Club, you can be certain that Speith will compete until late Sunday. His putting stroke came back in spectacular fashion on the back 9 last weekend. He is a very tough man to beat when he is sinking them for fun from 20 feet so keep an eye on a rejuvenated Speith this week.

Rory Mcilroy (+650 BetOnline.ag)

Rory Mcilroy comes off a dominant display at The K Club in Ireland two weeks ago. Where the Northern Irishman won his home open for the first time. The way Mcilroy put the rest of the field to the sword was mightily impressive and he will be hoping to do that again at Murifield Village this week.

Russell Knox (+5000 BetOnline.ag)

Russell Knox is a man that is playing the golf of his life at the moment. Knox finished runner up to Mcilroy in Ireland and would have won had it not been for some of the best shots you will ever see from Mcilroy. He also finished for a tie of second at the RBC Heritage in mid April. If Knox brings that same form to Muirfield Village then he will be with the front runners all weekend.
