RBC Canadian Open Betting Picks

The dust still hasn’t quite settled on the events that took place at Royal Birkdale on Sunday afternoon. Jordan Spieth lifted the Claret Jug in dramatic fashion as he arrested a front 9 meltdown to win by three shots. It was panic stations for Spieth after he hit his drive on the 13th 127 yards off line and needed to take a drop on the driving range at Royal Birkdale. After what was just short of half an hour, Spieth played his recovery shot and eventually made  a bogey that left him 1 behind Kuchar with 5 to play. It was then Spieth rallied and put on a showing that confirmed his status as a great of the game. His mindset is one that is well beyond his years. He just needs the PGA Championship to capture the grand slam and will have the opportunity to do so next month at the Quail Hollow Club. It is across the pond and on to Canada this week for the RBC Canadian Open. The venue is Glen Abbey Golf Course which measures 7, 253 yards and is a par 72. Seven of the top 30 of the latest FedEx Cup rankings will be teeing it up this week. Including Dustin Johnson who will be itching to get a bit of form going again since he fell down a flight of stairs at Augusta in April. The RBC Canadian Open often throws up some interesting story lines and high quality action. Expect a response from those players that missed out last week at Royal Birkdale.

Matt Kuchar (+1000 BetOnline.ag)

Matt Kuchar will take a great deal of confidence from his performance at Royal Birkdale. A runner up finish from Kuch will give him an immense amount of momentum. There are few better temperaments on the tour and a win for Kuchar is not far off.

Graham DeLaet (+3300 BetOnline.ag)

You can never write off a hometown hero and Delaet will be the man to carry Canada’s hopes this week. He’s not in bad for either and has 3 top 26 finishes in his last 4 events which includes a 10th place finish at the Memorial Tournament in June.

Ian Poulter (+4000 BetOnline.ag)

Poulter is coming off two top 15 finishes in his last couple events and is looking more determined than ever. He has said he feels a win is close and it would take a brave man to argue that. Watch out for him this week.
