Hyundai Tournament of Champions Betting Picks

By Golf

The festivities are drawing to an end and the year has begun which means The PGA Tour is back! The superstars of the game shake off the Christmas cobwebs as they head to Hawaii for the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. They will play at the Plantation Course at Kapalua which measures 7, 452 yards and is a  par 73. An absolutely stunning track that is located on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains. Breathtaking views of the ocean are available on almost every hole and there is no doubt that as far as going back to work goes after the holidays are over, Hawaii is as good as it gets and this should be a stunning tournament to view from the comfort of your own lounge. This field is also very good and has number one and two in the world teeing it up in Jordan Speith and Jason Day. Patrick Reed makes the trip to Hawaii to defend his title he won last year in a playoff against Jimmy Walker when he birdied the first extra hole to claim his maiden Hyundai Tournament of Champions. Winning scores are normally around the -20 mark and if the winds stay down there shouldn’t be any reason why the scores don’t get there again. With a stunning track, a terrific field that is full of champions over the last year and a season full of expectations, there is no reason why the Hyundai Tournament of Champions won’t be an absolute cracker of an event.

Jordan Speith (+350 BetOnline.ag)

Jordan Speith is the number one golfer in the world and he just cannot be ignored when he tees it up. He is the very best for a reason and will almost certainly lead the way from the first tee shot on Thursday until late Sunday afternoon. This tournament has the potential to be a late Christmas present for Speith with its wide fairways and generous greens.

Dustin Johnson (+800  BetOnline.ag)

The Plantation Course at Kapalua is quite a long track and that will play into Dustin Johnson’s hands. Johnson is a big hitter and often uses that to his benefit as he over powers golf courses with frightening ease. DJ had quite a successful season last year and looks to be going from strength to strength and he will want to put down a statement to the rest of the tour as he starts the year on the right foot.

Bubba Waston (+900  BetOnline.ag)

Bubba Watson is in tremendous form and ended last year playing some great golf. He too has the ability to bring a golf course to its knees with his enormous power. Watson has turned into a very consistent golfer and will be sure to go on a rich birdie and eagle run over the weekend as he tries to claim his first bit of silverware of the year.
