The Big Cat makes his official return to competitive golf this week with a return to tournament golf at Torrey Pines. Torrey Pines which measures 7, 698 yards and plays as a par 72 has been a happy hunting ground for Tiger Woods. The 14 time major winner has won 8 times there. All the story lines and subplots will be around Woods this week. As big of an attraction as Woods ism it may be a bridge to far for him to win this week after a 522 day absence. An unbelievably good field has assembled in San Diego California this week for what will be a treat for golf fans. Defending champion Brandt Snedeker is back and ready to pick up where he left off last year. Winning on the Monday without having to pick up a club. Bad weather stopped them the last time out on the Sunday, only after Snedeker had posted a clubhouse lead. At the time he was a shot behind the leaders but they couldn’t stand up to the conditions the following day and fell behind the clubhouse lead Snedeker posted. Snedeker has a great record at Torrey Pines and will invariably be towards the top half of the leaderboard again. If the weather holds then the watching golfing world is in for a treat as the first big get together of the year for best players in the world is sure to thrill.

Brandt Snedeker (+2000 BetOnline.ag)

Despite a slow start to the year Snedeker will feel this is the ideal opportunity to turn it around. He knows his way around Torrey Pines and will come into the tournament with a lot of confidence as the defending champion. A good start will be key and an ominous sign for the field. It could be back to back Farmer Insurance Open’s for Brandt if so.

Dustin Johnson (+850 BetOnline.ag)

A second place finish last week in Abu Dhabi will have Johnson believing he’s in good enough form to win this event. Johnson seems to have become as good as people once said he would be. He will threaten the leaderboard the entire week. His length is always an advantage and will come in very handy at Torrey Pines this weekend.

Rickie Fowler (+2200 BetOnline.ag)

Fowler will be nicely warmed up and well prepared after last week’s outing in Abu Dhabi. Although he did not contend for victory and only finished in 36th place. The Californian native will be coming in ready after shaking off the holiday cobwebs. Expect Fowler to be in the mix from Thursday.
