Zurich Classic Betting Picks

By Golf

For the first time in 36 years, team golf makes a return to the PGA Tour. The format of the Zurich Classic has changed and there will be two winners crowned on the Sunday instead of the one. TPC Louisiana will host the action. It measures 7, 425 yards and plays as a par 72. It will be a welcome change to the normality of stroke play and will give the fans the oppotunity to relive some of the formats of the Ryder and Presidents Cup. On the Friday and Sunday the format will be four ball(best ball) and on Thursday and Saturday it will be foursomes. There are some formidable pairings and the field looks as strong as ever with 12 of the top 25 in the world teeing it up. Ian Poulter makes his way to New Orleans despite losing his tour status last week. This may prove the ideal oppirtunity to get back to a high finish as he seems to thrive in team events. His Ryder Cup record is one of the better ones around. The newly revamped Zurich Classic is going to be a hit and will provide many moments of drama and excitement.

Grace/Oosthuizen (+1600 BetOnline.ag)

The South African duo are a force to be reckoned with. They have played together before and have enjoyed a record that is untouchable. At the Presidents Cup in 2015, played in Korea, they didn’t lose a game. The understanding between the two men is what makes them tick. Grace is coming off a finish of 10th at the Valero Texas Open and 11th at the RBC Heritage. With the odd good bounce and a bit of luck, the South Africans may well win the Zurich Classic.

Speith/Palmer (+850 BetOnline.ag)

The two Texans make a fearsome pairing and will undoubtedly put on an impressive show. Ryan Palmer is the perfect foil for Speith’s brilliance and has the ability to play sensational golf as well. This is Speith’s first event back since his Spring Break 2017. No doubt the rust will be gone and his attention back to winning ways.

Holmes/Watson (+1800 BetOnline.ag)

There is no shortage of length in this pairing. Both Watson and Holmes have an enormous weapon in their arsenal that the rest of the field doesn’t have. They will be able to play their second shots from much more advantageous positions. Watch out for them this week.
