Wells Fargo Championship Betting Picks

By Golf

It is just one week until The Players Championship arrives and that means that it is time for the Wells Fargo Championship. Played at Quail Hollow Club which measures 7, 575 yards and plays as a par 72. This is a lengthy track that will suit the bombers on the tour as last years winner Rory Mcilroy showed. Quail Hollow Club is a firm favorite among the players and always bring’s out a strong field. There will be 8 of the top 12 in the world playing this week and it will be interesting to see if Mcilroy can replicate the form he showed last year by winning again, Mcilroy has endured quite a lean patch of late and you have to go back to 1 year ago at this event until the last time Mcilroy won on the PGA Tour. The Northern Irishman and current number 3 in the world will look to bounce back and begin stamping his authority back onto world golf.  Can Mcilroy win for the third time at this venue or will someone else stand up? It promises to be a great week on the tour as the players take on a course they really enjoy playing.

Rory Mcilroy (+800 BetOnline.ag)

Given that Mcilroy has won at Quail Hollow Club twice already there is good reason to believe that this will be the track where he finds that winning touch again. He obviously feels very comfortable at this golf course and seems to play his best golf here. Last years win was so convincing that even a melt down on the closing holes would’ not have cost him the tournament as he eventually finished on twenty one under, 7 shots clear of second place. If Mcilroy finds any sort of rhythm at Quail Hollow Club he will certainly go on to win.

Henrik Stenson (+2000 BetOnline.ag)

Henrik Stenson is such a consistent competitor nowadays and will fancy his chances on a golf course that should suit him well. If he can start holing putts again then he will be among the leaders all weekend. One of the best ball strikers and players when it comes to tee to green play, the putter is his missing ingredient, if he can make those crucial putts he will contend all the way until late Sunday.

Adam Scott (+2000 BetOnline.ag)

Adam Scott has enjoyed a brilliant start to the season as he has already won twice. He hasn’t played since The Masters and will come back fresh and ready to build on what has been such an impressive start to the season. Expect Scott to challenge now he has found a putting stroke that is up there with the very best on the tour.
