Tour Championship Betting Picks

By Golf

The Tour Championship has arrived and we will have a new FedEx Cup winner this week. It has been another sensational season and it promises to culminate in a spectacular finale at East lake on Sunday. From new major winners, the Olympics and jaw dropping action on a regular base on the PGA Tour, we have had it all. It now just comes down to the small matter of who will walk away with the $10m bonus prize. The course is East Lake and is 7, 385 yards long and is a par 70. Last years FedEx Cup winner Jordan Speith is back to defend the title he won. The top five are undoubtedly in the best position to win it, but still, with the right results, Charl Schwartzel in 30th position can still win it. He would need Dustin Johnson to finish second from last but stranger things have happened. 8 members of the US Ryder Cup team will be competing at East Lake, whilst only one from team Europe will be teeing it up, Rory Mcilroy. The only doubt for this week is Jason Day as he battles some back strains. He may well be on the first tee but could struggle to produce his best golf. It has been another phenomenal season. Golf at the highest level moves very quickly and with the Ryder Cup only 8 days away, there won’t be much down time for the games best. You can bet everything you have that this season finale at East Lake will be an incredible spectacle that throws up some fantastic entertainment.

Dustin Johnson (+450 BetOnline.ag)

DJ is in the form of his life. He has enjoyed an incredible season that has involved him making a break through on the major front. The display he put on at the US Open proves he has the desire and steel within to overcome golf biggest challenges. Winning the BMW Championship would have given him huge momentum coming into the decider at East Lake. Johnson will be out to win his first FedEx Cup  this week with a win at East Lake.

Jordan Speith (+900 BetOnline.ag)

Jordan Speith will still feel quietly confident about his chances in the FedEx Cup. Having won here last year he will know he has the game and temperament to claim a victory at East Lake. If he can keep himself in contention until the fourth round he will be able to put pressure on those around him. Well positioned and with the right experience, Speith has what it takes to claim a last gasp victory at East Lake.

Patrick Reed (+1400 BetOnline.ag)

Patrick Reed will feel that this is his time to claim a FedEx Cup win and the spoils at East Lake. Beautifully positioned in the top 2, Reed will know a win here and he will walk away with $10m in prize money. Expect Patrick Reed to be focused and ready to turn it on.
