The PGA Championship Betting Picks

By Golf

Just 11 days after the The Open was played, the PGA Championship is to take place. The fast paced schedule is due to the Olympics that commences next week. It has been a real treat for golf fans and this week promises to offer more drama, excitement and jaw dropping moments. The venue for the 98th PGA Championship is Baltusrol Golf Club. Measuring 7, 428 yards and playing as a par 70, it promises to be a real test for the players. Long par 4’s are a feature of this course and the better long iron players will have a real chance of doing well. It will be another great battle between the heavyweights of world golf as 97 of the top 100 in the world are confirmed for the years last major. With the first three majors this year being won by players that have never won a major before, it remains to be seen whether we will have yet another first time winner. One can’t help but think that one of the big names and previous major winners will stand up and put on a dominant display. Often considered the most underwhelming major of the year, this weeks PGA Championship is still all set up to give us incredible viewing and more memorable moments. With so many young and talented players competing for the number one in the world tag, you can be sure that no inch will be given during the last major of the year.

Jordan Speith (+1400 BetOnline.ag)

The boy wonder has had a quiet year in terms of majors but this weeks PGA Championship at Baltusrol could be different for him. The setup of the course suits him and he still is the best putter in world golf. It won’t take much for Speith to rekindle that incredible form he had going last year. Speith may just claim his 3rd major and get a step closer to the the grand slam.

Branden Grace (+4000 BetOnline.ag)

Branden Grace may keep the trend of first time major winners this year going. The South African finished 3rd in the PGA Championship last year and 5th this year at the US Open. He is a major specialist and has to be close to his first major title. Being a very good long iron player will give him an advantage this week as he looks to tame Baltusrol for his maiden win.

Henrik Stenson (+1600 BetOnline.ag)

The Open champion is in the form of his life and he doesn’t look like letting up any time soon. The big Swede put on such a dominant display at Royal Troon 11 days ago that suggests he is the best player form wise in the world at present. He has been quite bullish in the build up to the event as well, saying that Baltusrol Golf Club suits his game well. Who can argue with him? The sensational Swede is in stunning form and ready to make it back to back majors.
