The Northern Trust Betting Picks

By Golf

The playoffs have arrived and the business end of the season is about to take place. All of the playoff legs are big money events and will draw in the biggest names from around the globe. The Northern Trust kick starts the playoff opener which will be played at Glen Oaks Club which measures 7, 350 yards and plays as a par 70. There are 120 out of the 125 qualified players that will tee it up. Noticeable absentees are Adam Scott and Sergio Garcia, the former awaiting the birth of his second child. Patrick Reed is back to defend the title he won here last year. It was an unforgettable week for Reed as he ended a run that saw him go 55 starts without a win. With his Northern Trust win he also secured his Ryder Cup spot and the rest as they say is history. Rory Mcilroy suggested he would take a long break to finally heal a rib injury that refuses to go away. Despite that the Northern Irishman will play this week which indicates he will compete in the playoffs and then possible take off the back end of the year. There is little doubt that the action will be unmissable. The FedEx Cup playoffs always throw up the unexpected and make for some classic viewing. The possibilities are wide open as anyone teeing it up in the top 125 could mathematically win the FedEx Cup. Who will make a charge up the field and who will cement their place at the top of the table?

Dustin Johnson (+1200 BetOnline.ag)

It is just a matter of time before DJ begins playing again like the player the world knows him to be, and he will be eyeing up the opportunity to get back to winning ways in New York this week. Johnson is right in the mix for FedEx Cup glory and currently sits 4th in the standings. Expect a big performance from Johnson this week.

Brooks Koepka (+2000 BetOnline.ag)

The U.S. Open Champion isn’t just a hot prospect anymore he’s become the real deal. Koepka will be there or thereabouts at the end of the FedEx Cup playoffs. There is every chance he will turn in a winning display this week.

Matt Kuchar (+3300 BetOnline.ag)

Matt Kuchar is in red hot form at the moment and has recorded two top 10 major finishes in the last month. This included a runner up finish at the Open Championship. Now could be the time for Kuch to pull off that elusive win.
