Ryder Cup Betting Picks

The golfing world is about to come to a standstill as the Ryder Cup gets underway tomorrow. What a special event and one that provides us with entertainment like we have never seen it before. The history of the Ryder Cup is illustrious and also packed full of controversy.  The War by the Shore back in 1991 will always be remembered for its hostility and the way the Ryder Cup evolved from there. It is now a passionate affair that is full of nationalism and intensity. The contest will be back in the USA this year and will be played at Hazeltine National Golf Club which measures 7, 268 yards and plays as a par 72. The USA will have it all to do this year as they have only won 2 Ryder Cups in the last 10. They have brought Davis III Love back to captain after he nearly clinched victory in the USA when it was played at Medinah in 2012 . When Europe forced a stunning comeback to win when they were 9-4 down going into Sunday. The USA need a shake up and are a team that has been accused of not caring or being a bunch of individuals. The Ryder Cup requires unity and teamwork, something that Europe have definitely done better than their American counterparts. If there was a time for America to start stamping their mark on the tournament it is now. With 50% of the European team rookies, there is a big opportunity to steal one back on their home soil. Rory Mcilory ended up winning the FedEx Cup last week and in doing so will bring a lot of confidence and form into the European Dressing room. However, the world awoke to the sad news on Monday morning that Arnold Palmer had passed away. ‘The king’ and great gentleman lost his battle to old age. Part of the big three and one of the players that transcended golf, all of the younger players can thank their luck stars everyday for their wealth that Palmer and co contributed so much with thanks to their superstar statuses. The American team may use Arnie’s death as inspiration like the European team did in 2012 with the passing of  Seve Ballasteros to come back and win in dramatic fashion. They certainly owe it to Arnold Palmer.
