Hero World Challenge Betting Picks

By Golf

It is the week we have all been waiting for. Tiger Woods makes a dramatic comeback at the tournament he hosts, the Hero World Challenge. The big cat makes a return after more than a year out of the game. Watching Woods over the past few years has been hard viewing. A shadow of his former self and hampered by constant back injuries, one of the game’s greats missed cut after cut and even withdrew on a number of occasions. His chipping woes seemed to spell the end for him and prompted his long withdrawal from the circuit. His long standing back problems did contribute but one can’t help but think that his short game was the final straw that prompted some soul searching. He has now decided that the time is right to return and the golfing world is much better off for it. Woods has picked the right tournament to do it as the Hero World Challenge provides him with a good opportunity to find his feet. The 18 man field ensures that every player will walk away with a 6 figure payout as their is no cut. The action will take place in the beautiful Bahamas and played on the Ernie Els design, Albany Course. A links style course that asks all sorts of questions if the wind blows. Measuring 7, 400 yards and playing as a par 72 means it’s a long track that requires superb tee to green skills in what could be difficult conditions. It remains to be seen whether Tiger will come back with a bang. One thing is for sure and that is the entire golfing world will be tuned in tomorrow for the great man’s comeback.

Jordan Speith (+500 BetOnline.ag)

Jordan Speith bounced back into the golfing limelight last week with a superb win at the Australian Open. He will be looking to make it two from two as he heads to the Bahamas in search of another early Christmas present. Given the smaller field and the form Speith is in, you can be sure he will be at the top of the leaderboard all weekend.

Bubba Watson (+1400 BetOnline.ag)

Watson has the game to do well at the Hero World Challenge. The putter has been the missing ingredient for him of late. He’s looked unsure and seems to be lacking confidence on the greens. If he can get it together and start holing some putts then he will be a big contender. His length will be a huge advantage at Albany.

Tiger Woods (+2500 BetOnline.ag)

What a fairy tale this would be if Woods went on to win and announce himself back on the world stage. Reports from the Bahamas are that he’s been posting some impressive scores out there at Albany. He spent two hours on the range on Sunday and has been putting the time in. You can never write off one of the world’s finest players to ever play the game.
