Dell Technologies Championship Betting Picks

By Golf

The race to the FedEx Cup is heating up as the first cut has been made after the Northern Trust last weekend. The number of people playing in the playoffs has been cut from 125 to 100. This week see’s the action move on to Massachusetts for the Dell Technologies Championship. Hosted at TPC Boston which measures 7, 342 yards and plays as a par 71. The winner at TPC Boston has gone on to win the FedEx Cup twice from the last four times. That stat will bode well for whoever wins this week. Hideki Matsuyama missed last week’s cut and surrendered the FedEx Cup lead to Dustin Johnson who now sits on top of the pile. Last year’s champion Rory Mcilroy is back to try and defend his title. The Northern Irishman did it in sensational style as he came from behind to overtake a faltering Paul Casey. On the last 8 occasions at TPC Boston the winner has come from behind. Holding the overnight lead on Saturday is hardly a reason to begin popping open the Champagne. It is on the Sunday when it all kicks off. That should be the case again this week as the tour takes a step closer to crowning a new FedEx Cup Champion. Winning this week and you virtually have a hand on the trophy. That is what history suggests but that’s not always the way things go, especially in golf. It is always safer to expect the unexpected.

Rory Mcilroy (+1400 BetOnline.ag)

It is only a matter of time before Rory Mcilroy announces himself at the playoffs. He is too good to not make an impact sooner or later. TPC Boston is a course he knows well and enjoys. Coming in as the defending champion may well spur him on and kick start his FedEx Cup campaign.

Louis Oosthuizen (+3300 BetOnline.ag)

The South African broke social media after his runner up finish at the PGA Championship. Sitting on his private chartered jet he lip synced Adele’s ‘Rise Up’ after completing his career grand slam of runner up places. Oosthuizen has reason to smile with a 10th place finish last week and a swing that is looking like a million dollars. A win this week won’t be a surprise to anyone.

Sergio Garcia (+4000 BetOnline.ag)

Sergio Garcia sat out the action last week but is back and ready to make a fist of the FedEx Cup challenge. Expect a big performance from Garcia this week.
