Arnold Palmer Invitational Betting Picks

By Golf

One of the more emotional weeks of the year is upon us as the players head to Bay Hill for the Arnold Palmer Invitational. This is the first time this event will be played without the great man being present. Having succumbed to old Age, Arnold Palmer passed away last year at the age of 87. A larger than life character who lived well and enjoyed the fruits of his success, Palmer was also incredibly generous and gave away a huge amount. His popularity amongst the players was and still is there, for all to see. He touched many lives and often extended the hand of friendship and guidance to younger players. There will never be another ‘Arnie’. That sort of infectious, talented and generous character comes around only once. The show must go on so that the world’s best players can pay tribute to the late legend. The course this week is Bay Hill and measures 7, 419 yards and plays as a par 72. It is a sensational track that requires the players to play some exquisite golf to sit on top of the pile on Sunday evening. Last year Jason Day won wire to wire to record his first ever Arnold Palmer Invitational title. There’s a lot on the line this week no doubt, but the main goal this week will be to honor the life lived by a man that is responsible for bringing the game to life and transforming it for the absolute better.

Rory Mcilroy (+650 BetOnline.ag)

Rory Mcilroy is a very real contender to win every time he tees it up. You once again can’t look passed him again this week. The Northern Irishman is in fantatsic form and will look to build on that before the Masters next month, where he has a chance to complete the Grand Slam. Mcilroy shared a touching story this week about a letter Palmer sent him after his win at Congressional. You can be one hundred percent sure he will try and win it this week for his mentor and late friend, Arnold Palmer.

Tyrrell Hatton (+3300 BetOnline.ag)

The young Englishman has enjoyed an incredible start to life on the PGA tour. He has recorded two top 10’s in his last two events. The world number 16 is playing like a man who has a big future ahead. He could be the man to honor Arnie with a debut win.

Henrik Stenson (+850 BetOnline.ag)

The big hitting Swede is coming off a 7th place finish at the Valspar Championship last week. He is always in the hunt these days and Bay Hill will suit his game. It could be Stenson’s week with another incredible display of ball striking and nerve less putting.
