Mayweather vs McGregor Betting Line and How To Bet Guide

July 9, 2017 Posted in Boxing by No Comments

The Mayweather vs McGregor mega-fight hype is heating up.  The pair are kicking off their world press tour in Los Angeles at the Staples Center in a few days and as the press conferences and sound bites pile up, the hype for this fight is only going to build.

The betting line has developed quite a bit from the time the fight was announced and I think it will stay basically where it is now until the fight occurs on August 26th.  The betting line has McGregor at around a 5/1 dog.  Let’s look at the exact odds from a couple sportsbooks below:

***I should note that this is not a prediction post for the Mayweather vs McGregor fight.  Ian, our resident boxing expert, will add his Mayweather vs McGregor prediction to the site closer to the event.  You can see all of Ian’s picks for other boxing matches here.

Method of Victory Odds

Here are the method of victory odds from BetOnline:

Here are the same odds from Bovada:

Personally, I think Mayweather will find a way to get a TKO late in this fight, so I’ll be betting on Mayweather inside distance at Bovada.lv.

Total Rounds

From BetOnline:

  • Over 9.5 +130
  • Under 9.5 -160
From Bovada:
  • Over 9.5 +125
  • Under 9.5 -175

Looking at these lines, if you think the fight will last into the 10th round then you’d want to bet at BetOnline.ag to get the +130 odds.

As you can see the odds vary dramatically between the two sportsbooks on every betting line for Mayweather vs McGregor.  This is why it’s very important to compare odds between a few sportsbooks to ensure that you get the best return possible.  The odds vary even more on prop bets, which are becoming very popular for the Mayweather vs McGregor fight.
